On the Job:

Since completing his residency, Keith Stein, DVM, DAVDC, has worked in private specialty practices in Ohio, New Jersey and Maryland. He was also an instructor at the Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore, which teaches oral surgery and dental techniques to veterinarians from around the world. He is currently on faculty at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and lectures throughout the country on a variety of dental topics. Dr. Stein is also a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society, previously serving on the Credentials Committee and as chair of the Review & Assessment Examination Committee for the specialty college. He is skilled at assessment and treatment of dental disease, dental restoration and oral surgery.

On the Job:

Cory Pinel, DVM, joined BluePearl Veterinary Partners in 2008.  After completing residency training in small animal surgery at BluePearl in Florida, he moved to BluePearl in the Music City. Dr. Pinel is credentialed in Vet-Stem® regenerative, stem-cell therapy in dogs, to treat osteoarthritis, OCD and other degenerative diseases, tendon and ligament tears, and fractures.

Emily Uselton, DVM, joined BluePearl Veterinary Partners in 2011. Prior to that, she was the first recipient to receive the John and Cathy Henton Scholarship at the University of Tennessee. Her primary interests are anesthesia and surgery.

Jodi Griswold, DVM, joined BluePearl Veterinary Partners in 2011. She is especially interested in orthopedic surgery as well as emergency and critical care medicine.

On the Job:

Joseph Desch, DVM, MS, ACVS, started a surgical specialty practice in 1987 in Kansas City which eventually became Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kansas City, which is also a BluePearl hospital.  He brought his skills as a surgeon and administrator to BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Minnesota at its inception in 2009.  Prior to opening his own practice, he was an assistant professor of surgery, from 1980 to 1983 at Oklahoma State and then at Kansas State University from 1983 to 1987.

He had previously worked as an emergency veterinarian at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Connecticut from 2005 to 2007.
